Office Policies

Office hours:

The office is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. We close from 12:30 to 1:30 daily for lunch. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.


Weekends and evenings:

In case of emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. After hours and on weekends, the on-call doctor can be reached for URGENT matters requiring immediate attention. Please call 206-242-7900 and ask the operator to page the doctor on call. For prescription refills, contact your pharmacy. For non-urgent matters, please call the office at 206-242-7900 and leave a message when prompted.



Patients are seen by appointment only, including for lab appointments. Appointments are usually made several days in advance. In true emergencies, we can see you on short notice. Each provider reserves at least one appointment each day for urgent situations. If your doctor has no same-day openings, we may offer you the option to see one of the other doctors in the office on a same-day basis.


We ask for 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Although we try to allow enough time for each patient, occasionally situations develop that cause one of the physicians to run late. If you are unable to wait, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.


Please bring all of your medications to each appointment. In addition, please bring with you a list of your blood pressure and /or blood sugar readings to each appointment. If you have more than one topic to address with the doctor, please bring a written list of your concerns. Depending on the specific circumstances, it may be necessary to have more than one visit to address all of the concerns.


Medication refills:

We prefer that you request prescription refills during your appointment. Alternatively, you can have your pharmacy contact us electronically or by fax. Pain medications and most other medications will NOT be filled on weekends or holidays. Please allow 2 business days to process all refill requests.



If you are being referred to the office, please be sure you have obtained the necessary authorization prior to arriving at the office. If we are referring you to another physician, please allow 5 working days for us to send the referral to the specialist.
